Fundu Lagoon

Located on a remote beach in the South West of Pemba Island, one of the islands comprising the Zanzibar Archipelago in Tanzania, lies Fundu Lagoon, a peaceful resort only accessible by boat.

Guests have a choice of either hillside or beachfront accommodation, and if guests opt for suites they will receive their own private plunge pool and sundeck, as well as comfortable amenities.

The restaurant at Fundu Lagoon offers dining with a spectacular view of the ocean. Cuisine reflects the Zanzibar region’s role as a meeting point of cultures – local East African fused with the Arab and Indian influences that came with the traders. Private Dining with your own personal chef is available, as are beach barbeques.

Three bars are also located on site, and location is all important, with one located on the jetty out to sea and another on the hillside by the infinity pool.

The Fundu Spa offers a wide range of global healing techniques and treatments, ranging from massage through body scrub to beauty treatments such as pedicure and waxing.

Active guests can take part in quality diving, snorkelling and fishing, while those wishing to stay dry can take trips involving picnics to the Ngezi Rainforest.
