Mnemba Island Lodge

Mnemba Island is a private island in the Zanzibar group, offering guests privacy and tranquility in a beautiful Indian Ocean setting.

Accommodation on the island consists of luxury Zanzibarian bandas, which are spacious open-plan villas tucked away in the pine forest by the beach, complete with private verandas and ensuite showers.

One of the draws of the island will be the abundant sealife in its surrounding waters - four times as much as the Caribbean - offering guests a chance to see the fish with scuba dives, or catch them with deep-sea fishing trips. On display, among others, are giant turtles and ghost crabs, while fish caught usually includes barracuda and marlin.

Other activities not involving fish are of course available, and these range from windsurfing to kayaking.
