Away Koh Kood

Found on Koh Kood, an island off the Thai coast near its border with Cambodia, Away Koh Kood offers the tourist something different to the typical Thai holiday - away from the trampled route in the Golden Triangle, the bustle of Bankgok, the much-photographed Andaman and the backpacker hangouts around Samui. Koh Kood is one of those places that is off most people's radars, and your visit here will be far more special and far more peaceful for it.

Accommodation comes in the form of bungalows, and these all offer sea views and easy access to the beach. As expected, they are fitted with everything to ensure guests' comfort, including mosquito nets.

The resort offers two venues for eating and drinking - the Castaway Pub, which serves light snacks and drinks, and the Escape restaurant, where guests can choose Asian or International cuisines, but are reccommended the excellent Thai fare on offer.

As an island, it may not come as a surprise that almost all activities on offer at Away involve water. Be it scuba diving at the island's first PADI centre, fishing, kayaking or anything else, guests are in for an aquatic treat. There is also ample opportunity to relax in the resort's spa.
