Ubud Hanging Gardens

The resort here is found in Ubud, the cultural centre of one of the most desirable island destinations in the world - Bali.

It's not called Hanging Gardens without reason - each of the 38 Balinese style villas is built into the hillside in the same fashion as the surrounding rice terraces, giving tranquility, views and an architectural wow factor like no other resort. All villas are fitted with all modern luxuries, inclding private pools.

The resort's communal facilities share the same gravity-defying pattern, with its own gardens and infinity pool among the highlights. The Ayung Spa only adds to the calming environment.

As you might expect, the mealtimes all take place in front of a stunning view, with a variety of private dining options as well as a in-house restaurant serving up quality fusion food. There is also a snack cafe and cocktail bar.

Guests wanting to move from the dining room to the kitchen are welcome, as the resort offers courses in Balinese cooking. Otherwise, numerous excursions into the surrounding countryside, the city of Ubud or one of the many Hindu temples are all on offer.
