Banyan Tree's resort in the Seychelles brings the expected Indian Ocean tropical luxury, with an added 'celebrity' dimension. Back in the 70s, both George Harrison and Peter Sellers built holiday homes here, and while they are no longer residents, Banyan Tree have preserved their original architectural dreams.
Villas at the resort are all spacious, and all are 'pool villas', boasting a private pool as well as tasteful design and modern ammenities. Furthermore, the choice is excellent - villas come on the beach, or on the rocky hillside overlooking the ocean.
Dining at the resort takes place in one of four restaurants, specialising in Thai, Creole or a variety of international cuisines. On top of this, in-room dining is readily available, and for romantic dinners destination dining, in secluded outdoor locations, always with a view, are also on offer.
Activities are widely available, and the concierge is happy to arrange trips and cruises to locations around the Seychelles. Closer to home, the usual range of watersports, diving and fishing is also on offer. There is also an award-winning spa.
