One & Only's Royal Mirage resort is one of many to have sprung up in the Jumeirah district of Dubai, home to some of the most extraordinary developments in mankind's history. This district is the hub, with green fairways sprouting from the desert; palms growing out to sea; waterways springing from nowhere.
The Arabian Court follows the trend of modern-Arabic design, with its 160 deluxe rooms kitted out with comfy and luxury furniture, decorated with a nod to palaces of past sultans and sheikhs. Importantly, suites come with a private balcony, which not only offers a chance for guests to soak up the sun in private, but also have a view out to the ocean, and the artificial archipelagos developing out to sea.
Cuisine at Arabian Court can come at one of three restaurants, offering European and Asian fare. However, being a part of a bigger resort means that there are four further eating options at The Palace, and there are five bar, lounge and club venues across the resort.
Taking care of yourself (or having other people do it for you!) is a priority at the Royal Mirage, and so there are extensive facilities including a spa, beauty centre, hammam, and fitness centre.
Other activies are myriad - a range of watersports, land sports, golf, desert excursions and almost anything imaginable are available in Dubai. Even top level cricket and rugby can be watched at certain times of the year.
