About
Previously owned by Ian Fleming, serving as the setting for his writing three of the James Bonds, and briefly owned by Bob Marley, the hotel has been owned by Island Record's Chris Blackwell since 1976. Further afield than many of the popular resorts, it is 90 minutes from Kingston or Montego Bay, but close to Ian Fleming International Airport, with daily flights from Miami, making it a more exclusive, private hotel than others on the island. There are 51 villas, cottages, and huts bordering the sea and lagoon.
Home to half a dozen restaurants and bars, serving delicious local food, the dining experiences here are set in true Caribbean fashion, with excellent music and laid-back vibes.
